I’m running to bring accountability, transparency, and practical solutions to protect Heber’s future. Here’s how I’ll tackle the issues that matter most to you.

Responsible Growth & Infrastructure

The Problem: Heber City’s rapid approval of high-density projects like Highlands (1,100 units) and North Village (95 acres) has strained our roads, water, and sewer systems. Developments are greenlit, by current city council member who is running for Mayor, without ensuring infrastructure can keep up, leading to traffic congestion and resource shortages.
My Solution:

  • Pause high-density approvals until water, sewer, and road upgrades are secured.

  • Prioritize zoning that preserves open spaces and prevents sprawl.

  • Work with Wasatch County to align growth with infrastructure capacity, ensuring development benefits residents, not just developers.

Why It Matters: Growth should enhance Heber, not overwhelm it. I’ll fight for smart planning that keeps our small-town charm and tourism intact.

Affordable Taxes & Utilities

The Problem: Property taxes rose 9.38% in FY 2025 and 8.06% in FY 2024, while water, sewer, and power rates have climbed, hitting families hard. These hikes often lack transparent justification, leaving residents feeling ignored.
My Solution:

  • Advocate for transparent, lean budgets to avoid unnecessary tax increases.

  • Explore grants and efficiencies to reduce utility rate hikes.

  • Ensure public input before approving any new costs, unlike current leadership.

Why It Matters: You deserve a council that prioritizes affordability and accountability, not automatic rate hikes.

Drought & Water Conservation

The Problem: Utah’s ongoing drought, combined with new developments, threatens Heber’s water supply. Projects like Highlands lack guaranteed water rights, risking shortages for existing residents.
My Solution:

  • Require verified water rights before approving new projects.

  • Partner with state and local agencies to secure long-term water solutions.

Why It Matters: Clean, reliable water is the lifeblood of our valley. I’ll ensure Heber’s future is drought-resilient.

Restoring Trust & Community Engagement

The Problem: Residents feel unheard as council decisions favor developers over community needs, with insufficient transparency on taxes, growth, and infrastructure plans.
My Solution:

  • Increase public access to council meetings with virtual options and clear agendas.

  • Create regular town halls to hear your concerns on traffic, crime, and air quality.

  • Commit to respectful, transparent dialogue, addressing challenges like my ongoing legal matters (being resolved in court with evidence) to maintain trust.

Why It Matters: Heber deserves a councilor who listens and acts in your best interest, not special interests.

Preserving Heber’s Character

The Problem: Rapid growth risks eroding Heber’s small-town feel, with affordability and heritage taking a backseat to high-density projects.
My Solution:

  • Support affordable housing that fits Heber’s character, not cookie-cutter developments.

  • Invest in trails, parks, and community events to strengthen our sense of place.

  • Protect our valley’s natural beauty while addressing modern needs.

Why It Matters: As a lifelong resident, I’m dedicated to keeping Heber a place we’re proud to call home.
